Heaven is For Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back

Heaven is For Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back by Todd Burpo

Little Colton Burpo was near death when he underwent an operation to save his life. Unknown to his parents and the doctors Colton left his body. But where did he go? I've heard other out of body experience stories, and thought "Wow, that's nice, but I'm not 100% sold". This story was different, because it comes out of the mouths of babes. It is one thing to come back and describe Heaven to another when you've read and developed your own "version" of it, but it is a different thing all together when a 4 year old, who doesn't know Heaven from Dairy Queen, or Jesus from a hole in the wall to come back and non-chalantly start talking about it. His 'Matter of Fact' descriptions of what he saw and who he met will make you think differently about the after life.

This is a very quick read. Skeptics need not read, because if you don't believe before you read it, you won't believe after you read it. However, anyone who has a healthy curiosity and anyone who is spiritual or religious may enjoy this book.

In this book, a young woman by the name of Akiane. Akiane is a child prodigy whose artwork speaks for itself. The book mentions a picture of Jesus. If you go to her Gallery and go to AGE 8, you will see a painting that little Colton looked at (after looking at countless dipictions of Jesus) and finally agreed that this was the closest likeness he's seen. How does Akiane know how Jesus looks? At 4, had a life-changing spiritual transformation, bringing the family to God. She has two books out as well, but only one is readily available.

Akiane: Her Life, Her Art, Her Poetry
This is the one that is available, in hardbook and Kindle

Akiane My Dream is Bigger Than I: Memories of Tomorrow
This one is harder to find.
