Book Review - Mr. g by Alan Lightman

I found this article, I thought it might be of interest to some.

Review

Mr. g by Alan Lightman

Alan Lightman has written a new book entitled "Mr. g: A Novel About The Creation"

I thought this would be a quirky and/or enlightening read. I was mostly disappointed. The book pretty much starts off as I suspected, God hanging around bored and decided to create something. Through the prompting of his Aunt Penelope and Uncle Deva he decides to create with all seriousness a sustainable universe.

At first the book was a comfortable read, however, Lightman starts off on a super scientific tangent. If one does not know about Physics, chemistry or biology, the reader would be lost. Once man was created the book moved through time quickly with some more interesting 'slice of life' and 'ethical morals' stories. However, there was not enough to hold my interest. I did manage to finish, I just wished it would have been a little more thought provoking and a lot less scientific.
